Young people who commit serious crimes, such as a rubbery or a violent attack should be punished in the same way as adults. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Serious crimes committed by young people create a difficult conflict between public safety and the belief that adolescents are still developing morally and psychologically. I partly disagree that young offenders should be punished exactly like adults, because severe crimes require firm consequences but youth justice should still allow greater emphasis on rehabilitation.
