Today many children spend a lot of time playing computer games and little time on sports. Why is it? Is it a positive or negative development?

Children's leisure has shifted dramatically from outdoor play and organised sport toward screen-based entertainment. This happens because digital games are convenient, socially attractive, and commercially designed to hold attention, and I believe the trend is largely negative when it displaces physical activity and balanced development.
