The values that we learn from our parents and family have a greater influence on our future success than any knowledge and skills we learn at school. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Success is rarely produced by one influence alone. Schools provide young people with literacy, qualifications and technical knowledge, while families shape their character, habits and sense of purpose. Although I do not deny the importance of formal education, I largely agree that the values learned from parents and family often have a deeper influence on long-term success.
