Students in university education should develop specialist in one subject area rather than develop a wider range of different subjects. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

Universities must prepare students for complex careers while also giving them enough depth to contribute seriously to a field. I partly agree that students need a specialist area, but excessive early specialisation is risky unless it is balanced with broader intellectual exposure.
