Environmental problems such as climate change, plastic pollution and biodiversity loss are so large that individual action can seem insignificant beside industrial emissions and weak political commitments. I believe governments and corporations must lead, but individuals remain essential because public behaviour, consumer demand and civic pressure determine whether large-scale solutions become politically and socially possible.
