Health is one of the most fundamental conditions for human dignity, and many people therefore argue that medical care should not be treated as an ordinary business. Private healthcare can bring efficiency, innovation, and additional capacity, but it also risks turning access to treatment into a privilege for those who can afford it. Overall, I believe the disadvantages of a profit-driven healthcare system outweigh its advantages unless it operates under strong public regulation.
