Some people believe that the government spends too much money on developing space technology. There are many other way that the government should address instead. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Space technology attracts criticism because it appears remote from everyday problems such as poverty, health care and education. I partly agree that governments must not neglect urgent social needs, but I do not believe spending on space technology is necessarily excessive or misguided.
