For much of the modern era, university education has been seen as the safest route to success. A degree often promised stable employment, social status, and access to professional careers. Yet the contemporary labour market has become more diverse and less predictable, leading many people to question whether university remains the best path for everyone. In my view, higher education is still highly valuable, but it should no longer be regarded as the single or guaranteed route to a successful life.
