Some people believe that it is the responsibility of the politicians rather than the individuals to reduce the environment damage. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Environmental damage is caused by systems of energy, transport, production and consumption, so responsibility cannot be assigned neatly to either politicians or individuals alone. I agree that politicians have the greater responsibility because they control laws and infrastructure, but individuals must also change habits and support stronger public action.
