Some parents give their children everything that their children ask for and accept what their children want to do. Is this good for children? What could be consequences for these children when they grow up?

Parenting increasingly occurs in a consumer culture where love is often expressed through gifts, freedom and immediate satisfaction. Giving children everything they request is not good for them, because it weakens self-control and may produce dependent, entitled adults.
