People who damage public property, such as buildings or statues should have to do community service(such as cleaning parks) as a punishment rather than other forms of punishment (such as paying a fine or going to prison). To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Damage to public property is more than a private act of misbehaviour because it harms shared spaces, public memory and the taxes citizens pay to maintain them. I largely agree that community service is often a better punishment than fines or imprisonment, although serious or repeated offences may require stronger legal consequences.
