People today can shop, work and communicate with others via the Internet instead of face-to-face communications. Is it a positive or negative development?

The Internet has moved many ordinary activities from streets, offices and community spaces into digital platforms. I believe this is a positive development overall because it increases convenience, flexibility and access, although it can weaken social bonds and must be managed carefully.
