People think that old buildings should be knocked down and give way to the new buildings. DO you agree or disagree? How important are old buildings to us?

Cities need new housing and infrastructure, yet older buildings often embody memory, craftsmanship, and a sense of historical continuity. I disagree that old buildings should routinely be demolished, because they are important cultural and social assets even though some may need adaptation or replacement.
