Organized tours to remote places and communities are increasingly popular. Is it a positive or negative development for local people and the local environment?

Tourism has expanded far beyond famous cities and beach resorts. Increasingly, travellers seek remote villages, fragile ecosystems, and indigenous communities in search of authenticity and adventure. While organized tours to such places can bring economic opportunities to local people, I believe this trend is only positive when it is tightly regulated. Without careful management, it can damage both local cultures and the natural environment.
