Once children start school, teachers have more influence on intellectual and social development than parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

A child's development is shaped by both the home and the classroom, but the balance of influence changes once formal schooling begins. I partly agree that teachers become highly influential in intellectual development, yet parents usually remain more important in social and moral formation.
