Nowadays, some parents put a lot of pressure on their children to succeed. What are the reasons? Is this a positive or negative development for children?

In many societies, childhood has become closely tied to competition, as parents worry that academic results, extracurricular achievements and early career preparation will determine a child's future security. This pressure is driven by economic anxiety and social comparison, and although it may produce short-term achievement, I believe it is largely negative when it undermines mental health, curiosity and family relationships.
