Nowadays people can live and work wherever they want because of the development of communication technology and transport. Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Communication technology and faster transport have weakened the old link between where people live and where they earn a living. I believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages because location flexibility expands opportunity and improves quality of life, although it can strain communities if unmanaged.
