Nowadays, children have too much freedom. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Modern childhood is shaped by a tension between protecting young people and allowing them to develop independence in a world far more complex than that of previous generations. I do not agree that children generally have too much freedom; the real problem is that some children receive freedom without guidance, while others are overcontrolled in ways that limit maturity.
