Nowadays celebrities are more famous for their glamour and wealth than for their achievements, and this sets a bad example to young people. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Celebrity culture increasingly rewards visibility, luxury and personal branding, sometimes more than artistic excellence, public service or genuine achievement. I agree that this sets a bad example for young people when fame is detached from effort and responsibility, although not all celebrities should be judged in the same way.
