Remote natural environments have become increasingly reachable as transport technology, scientific ambition, and adventure tourism expand into places once protected mainly by distance. I believe access to areas such as Antarctica can bring valuable scientific and educational benefits, but these advantages outweigh the disadvantages only if travel is tightly limited and environmentally responsible.
