Driverless vehicles are moving from science fiction into transport policy, promising roads where passengers travel in cars, buses and trucks controlled by sensors, software and artificial intelligence. I believe the advantages could outweigh the disadvantages, but only if safety, cybersecurity, employment disruption and public accountability are managed before large-scale adoption.
