Children have become a profitable audience for advertisers, especially in markets for snacks, toys, games, and branded entertainment. While advertisements can sometimes provide product information, I believe parents are right to object to heavy advertising pressure because most child-directed marketing exploits immaturity rather than supporting informed choice.
