In modern society, it is no longer necessa ry to slaughter animals for producing foodstuffs, or non-food products such as clothes or medicine. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Modern societies have more alternatives to animal products than ever before, from plant-based foods to synthetic materials and advanced medical research methods. I partly agree that slaughtering animals is becoming less necessary, but I do not think it can yet be completely avoided in every context.
