In many parts of the world, children have more freedom than they used to. Do you think it is a positive or negative development?

Children in many societies now make more choices about leisure, friendships, clothing, media, and sometimes even education than previous generations did. I regard this as a positive development overall, provided freedom is accompanied by guidance, boundaries, and responsibility.
