In many parts of the world, children are given more freedom than in the past. Is this a positive or negative development?

Childhood has changed as families have moved away from rigid discipline and unquestioned obedience toward a model that values independence, self-expression, and personal choice. This shift has created both opportunities and risks. Overall, I believe that giving children more freedom is a positive development, provided that it is accompanied by guidance, boundaries, and emotional support.
