In many countries, people wear more western-style clothes (e.g. jeans and T-shirts) than their traditional clothes. Why is this the case? ls this a positive negative development?

Clothing is one of the most visible signs of cultural identity, yet in many countries traditional garments are now worn less frequently than jeans, T-shirts, suits, and other western-style clothes. This trend is largely the result of globalization, practicality, and the influence of global media. In my view, it is neither wholly positive nor wholly negative, but it becomes worrying when convenience turns into cultural amnesia.
