In many cities, planners have located schools, homes, shops and offices in specific areas, which are widely separated from each other. Do the advantages of this policy outweigh the disadvantages to the city residents.

Many modern cities have been organised into separate zones for housing, education, shopping, and offices, often with wide roads between them. I believe the disadvantages of this planning model outweigh the advantages because it increases travel demand and weakens everyday community life.
