Government should control the amount of violence in film and on television in order to decrease the level of violent crimes in society. Do you agree or disagree?

Violence in films and television is often blamed for aggressive behaviour, especially when shocking images are easily accessible to young viewers. I partly agree that governments should control extreme violent content, but media regulation alone cannot substantially reduce violent crime.
