Education of young people is highly prioritized in many countries. However, educating adults who cannot write or read is even more important and governments should spend more money on this. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Governments often focus educational spending on children and teenagers because young people represent the future workforce, yet adult illiteracy continues to restrict social participation long after childhood has ended. I agree that adult literacy deserves greater investment than it often receives, but this should supplement rather than displace strong education for the young.
