Differences in ages between parents and children are greater than in the past. Do you think the advantages of the development outweigh the disadvantages?

In many societies people are having children later, creating wider age gaps between parents and their children than were common in the past. I believe this development has meaningful advantages, but the disadvantages slightly outweigh them when the gap becomes too large.
